| 100th
sub four minute mile I took this photo of John Walker in 1985 at Mt Smart stadium in Auckland. It was taken about 15 minutes before he become the first athlete to run 100 sub 4 minute miles. I took several rolls of film that evening mostly during the race. But this was the one I liked best. I like the stories behind a photo, and the concentration and solitude of this image said more to me about this event than the glamour and action of the race. |
